Many professionals already use AI after a meeting: to summarize notes, capture action items, or organize what happened. But some of its greatest value may come before you enter the room. That idea came to life during our May 18 AI Academy, Communication Matters: Using AI to Master Career-Defining Conversations.

The session helped participants build a common language and core understanding of AI, with attention to ethical and responsible use. From there, they explored how AI could support a very human challenge: preparing for conversations where the stakes are high.

One practical approach positioned AI as a “critical friend” rather than an oracle or decision-maker. Participants learned to give AI the context behind a situation, clarify what they actually wanted from the conversation, ask it to challenge their assumptions, and then use those insights to strengthen their approach. In another demonstration, AI reviewed a proposed opening for a conversation with an executive director and surfaced something the speaker had missed: the message led with his personal goals rather than the value of the work to the organization. That small observation changed how he could approach the conversation.

And that is where AI becomes more interesting…

It is not only a tool for producing something faster. Used thoughtfully, it can help you examine your thinking before an important moment arrives.

From Career-Defining Conversations to Meeting Mastery

On August 24, AI Academy continues with From Prep to Presence: AI-Powered Meeting Mastery.

This time, we are taking the work further. You’ll explore how to use AI as a strategic thinking partner to uncover blind spots, strengthen your ideas, anticipate difficult questions, and identify opportunities you may have overlooked before a high-stakes meeting. Because strong presence does not begin when you start speaking. It begins with how well you have prepared to contribute.

Join us August 24 from 12:00–1:30 PM ET and discover practical ways to enter your next important meeting with sharper thinking, greater clarity, and a stronger point of view.
